{"id":48,"date":"2022-03-18T21:35:14","date_gmt":"2022-03-18T21:35:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/martinrouret.com\/?page_id=48"},"modified":"2024-09-23T19:01:58","modified_gmt":"2024-09-23T19:01:58","slug":"48-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/martinrouret.com\/","title":{"rendered":"Portfolio"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-text-color\" id=\"Background\" style=\"color:#ff014f;font-style:normal;font-weight:200\">Background<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m an engineer currently working with Unreal Engine 5 at Meta.<br><br>I have worked as a gameplay programmer using Unity3D for 3 years in the IFMIF-DONES project, one of the most important projects regarding fusion energy in the world.<br><br>I have my own video game development studio called <a href=\"https:\/\/darumaeye.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"Daruma Eye\">Daruma Eye<\/a>, where I am performing as programmer and project manager on my free time, currently developing <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/2381550\/Fist_of_Yokai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"Fist of Yokai\">Fist of Yokai<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was also part of an indie video game development studio called <em><a href=\"https:\/\/fraguagames.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"Fragua Games\">Fragua Games,<\/a><\/em> where I performed as lead programmer and project manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Graduated from <strong>Universidad Nacional del Comahue<\/strong> as an electronics engineer in Argentina, where I focused most of my career in the software programming branch. I have expanded my education in Spain finishing an <strong>MSc. In video game programming.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Always on the lookout for new challenges, which has led me to explore new technologies, work with new people and keep learning and growing.<br>I have been a gamer since I have memory and have always <strong>felt a deep passion and connection to video games<\/strong>. Because of that, I&#8217;m always trying to gamify different experiences in order to make them more enjoyable and memorable for the people experiencing them. A rogue-like dungeon crawler with an innovative hack and slash mechanic that will get you hooked. Inspired by modern <strong>Roguelites<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/agecheck\/app\/250900\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Binding of Isaac<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1145360\/Hades\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hades<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/788100\/Neon_Abyss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Neon Abyss<\/a>, etc.) and frenetic <strong>Hack and Slash <\/strong>games (<a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/agecheck\/app\/601150\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Devil May Cry<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/agecheck\/app\/460790\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bayonetta<\/a>, etc.) adding my own personal twist.
